Falkirk Community Trust recently commissioned me to design and illustrate a world map for an installation at Callendar House, Falkirk to celebrate the “Year of the coasts and waters 2020” here in Scotland.
For reference I used the open source Equal Earth projection which shows the continents and countries at their true size.
The illustrations represent landmarks, animals and means of travel closely related to the theme of coasts and waters.
